Role: Legal Counsel
Location: Sint Truiden

Start Date: March-April 2025

About the Role

Are you a legal expert with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for navigating complex cases?

At InTouch, we’re looking for a Legal Counsel who can handle everything from commercial and corporate contracts to IP protection and specialized tender cases.

In this pivotal role, you’ll liaise with our external law firms for expert guidance while also serving as the in-house legal go-to for contracts, negotiations, and compliance. Your Mission: Safeguard & Strategize 🔏

  • Contract Management:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and corporate contracts with clients, partners, and suppliers.

    • Ensure contracts are aligned with InTouch’s business goals and mitigate risks.

    • Develop standardized templates for frequently used agreements to streamline processes.

  • Liaison with External Law Firms:

    • Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters, including intellectual property (IP), compliance, and tenders.

    • Ensure efficient communication and alignment between internal teams and external legal partners.

  • Tender Support:

    • Assist with legal aspects of tenders, including compliance checks, reviewing terms and conditions, and addressing specialized cases.

    • Provide strategic input to strengthen our position during tender negotiations.

  • GDPR & Corporate Governance:

    • Oversee legal aspects of GDPR and corporate governance, ensuring regulatory compliance across all operations.

    • Manage shareholder agreements, board resolutions, and other corporate documents.

  • Intellectual Property (IP):

    • Protect and manage InTouch’s intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

    • Address IP challenges and ensure our innovations are safeguarded in the market.

    Risk Mitigation & Compliance:

    • Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes (e.g., GDPR, tender laws) and their impact on the business.

    • Proactively identify risks and provide actionable solutions.

  • Internal Legal Advisor:

    • Act as the first point of contact for all legal questions within the company.

    • Provide training and guidance to teams on contract management and compliance.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in commercial or corporate law, preferably with exposure to SaaS, GovTech, or public tenders.

    • Proven experience negotiating and closing complex contracts.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Belgian and European legal frameworks, especially related to GDPR, tenders and IP.

    • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Professional proficiency in Dutch and English

  • Mindset:

    • Solution-oriented and proactive, with a keen eye for detail.

    • Commercial acumen to balance legal risks with business opportunities.

    • Collaborative, with the ability to work seamlessly across teams and with external partners.
